Who we are
CORIOLANO has belonged during three generations to the Guerra family from Amatrice. It started in 1935 as a typical Roman retail, licensed to supply and sell food and drinks, then over time it became TRATTORIA CORIOLANO, the favourite meeting place of those people who love tradition and taste.
You will find a homely touch, the typical Roman food, a friendly atmosphere, a warm environment, a scent of wood which colours the walls chestnut brown, among wood panelling, pictures and various souvenirs, a taste from the past blended with today’s taste.
Seasonal products and homemade delicacies, tradition and the best specialities of Roman cookery coexist together with modern dishes.
The most fanciful delicious sea and meat dishes.
The wine cellar is managed with concern and attention.
The owners will kindly and dedicatedly receive you; they will pamper you and, above all, they will comply with wishes and desires of any taste, even the most refined ones.
The chef ably combines wholesome raw materials with innovation and tradition showing his wise inventiveness and improved professionalism. He is very skilful and he astonishes with new dishes, typical Roman dishes and the restaurant’s historical specialties, such as homemade pasta, sweets and bread.
The whole staff works very skilfully, friendly and with dedication to make guests feel at home. Flavours, smells, colours and scents are looked after in order to rouse senses and to make every detail on the table special.
Walls are imbued with history that gives you the sensation of feeling in a cosy house, like being at your home, where you can find tradition, together with respect, good taste and innovation.
Its name indicates the qualities both of the restaurant and of the “trattoria” (it is a shop, like a restaurant, where you can eat and drink, but it is more popular and modest). From the restaurant it has an elegant ambience, silver plates, crystal glasses, linen tableclothes. From the “trattoria” it has the atmosphere, tradition, genuineness and prices.
It is acknowledged as a historical shop.
A historical restaurant abreast of the times, which doesn’t forget its origins.
